VETERAN’S PRESS RELEASE
Are you a veteran returning from service or have served previously and are interested in starting or finishing your college degree or just taking some college courses? If so, now is the time to get started at The University of Akron. You are invited to attend The University of Akron Transfer and Adult Expo!
Admission specialist for adult learners returning to college or starting for the first time will provide you with information on most of our associate and bachelor’s degree programs. You will receive the information you need to make the best decisions to efficiently complete a college degree matched to your interest.
If you have previously attended college, we recommend that you bring copies of your transcripts. You will receive on-the-spot preliminary evaluations of your previous academic work.
Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 17, 2008 from 10 a.m. to noon. Free and convenient parking is available in the North Campus Parking Deck.

10 a.m. to noon, Academic and Student Services fair – Visit with representatives from the office of Admission, Student Financial Aid, and Adult and Evening Services as well as representatives from most of the undergraduate colleges. Preliminary transfer credit evaluations will be completed during this time.
11 a.m., "Preparing for College for Adult Student"presented by Adult Focus.
